DESCRIPTION:Embark on a breathtaking 3-day journey through the stunning Batroun Heights\, where nature’s beauty\, local culture\, and rich heritage come together in perfect harmony. This unforgettable trek invites you to explore the tranquil Jurd\, meet welcoming locals\, and dive deep into the ancient traditions of the Batroun Mountains.\n\nDay 1: Tannourine – Nabeh el Rahwé – Deir Houb\nOur adventure begins in the peaceful village of Tannourine\, where we’ll follow the serene Darb el Jurd trail\, enveloped in the mineral-rich beauty of the Jurd. Along the way\, we’ll pause at Nabeh el Rahwé for a relaxing picnic\, before continuing our journey toward Al Sayar\, the end of the trail. Here\, we’ll enjoy a refreshing coffee break surrounded by nature’s tranquility. Afterward\, we’ll travel by bus to Deir Houb for an overnight stay. As night falls\, we’ll gather under the stars for a mesmerizing astronomy session\, led by Universciel\, offering a unique perspective of the night sky.\n\nDay 2: Deir Houb – Douma – Douma Club\nAfter a hearty breakfast\, we’ll set out on the next leg of our journey\, hiking towards Chatine along the scenic LMT trail. Our path will take us through the beautiful Wadi el Afess and Feghri\, where we’ll pause for a special gathering in memory of the late Latif Samia. From here\, we’ll descend to Douma\, checking in at the charming Douma Club for a well-deserved rest. After freshening up\, we’ll embark on a guided tour through the revitalized souks of Douma\, immersing ourselves in the town’s rich history. As evening falls\, local musicians will fill the air with the sounds of traditional instruments\, setting the stage for a truly memorable cultural experience.\n\nDay 3: Douma – Bchaaleh – Zouwedeh Experience\nOur final day begins with a delightful breakfast\, followed by a journey along Darb el Mahkame\, one of the oldest trails in the region. This historic path will lead us to Bchaaleh\, a village renowned for its ancient olive trees\, passing by centuries-old monasteries and churches along the way. Once in Bchaaleh\, we’ll visit a community kitchen\, where we’ll have the opportunity to prepare a traditional Zouwedeh meal together\, savoring the flavors of the past. We’ll then head to the legendary millennium olive trees\, where a Hakawati (storyteller) will bring the history of this remarkable place to life through captivating tales.
